Abstract

Literary translation is a civilized work that conveys the image of societies and civilizations. Literary translation is one of the types of translation whose texts are difficult to understand and interpret away from the environment, format, and custom from which they emerged, in addition to the process of reformulation, which constitutes a stand-alone stage, in which the translator transfers the desired text from the mother culture to the culture that will receive the text according to its customs and taste.
The researcher tried to achieve a thorny equation by translating the idiomatic expressions that started as they were, devoid of the rules of the Arabic language, and transferring them to the Chinese language in a way that does not contradict their original meaning, which will require looking at the different aspects of culture between the two languages in an organized framework based on understanding the problems of this type of language to translate it and solve its problems.
This will be done by relying on the descriptive approach in analyzing idiomatic expressions and the problem of translating them and transferring them to another culture without disturbing their meaning and intent, in application of translating some colloquial texts and idiomatic expressions from the Arabic language into the Chinese language. This is in order to determine the translation of conventional expressions into the best possible literary format.
