Aproximación a la problemática de la traducción de los antropónimos expresivos en el par lingüístico español-árabe: estudio descriptivo-traductológico

Abstract

The present study intends to shed light on the difficulties of rendering the significant proper names of a person or those that carry certain perceptible connotations for the original reader and the possible translational techniques to overcome these problems. Through a study applied to some cases of the contemporary Spanish literature and the Arabic literature, the aim is to trace an idea of the procedures adapted to translate such names in translated works and reflect on other possibilities of translating similar names in other untranslated ones. Through the study, we verify the need to adapt the techniques of translating said expressive anthroponyms with the textual demands, the literary genre, the criteria of acceptability in the receiving culture, among other aspects.
